How to replace Serkel liners

Your child’s helmet comes with four replaceable liners. Liner replacement is a simple process, but there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure comfort and an accurate fit.

Liner replacement instructions

The helmet has two separate liners—front and back—attached with Velcro inside.

1. Replacing the Front Liner

  • Start by removing the old front liner
  • Make sure the new liner is facing the right way: the grey, fluffy side should touch the inside of the helmet
  • Begin placing it from the side opposite the helmet opening
  • Line it up with the edge of the back liner
  • Gently roll the liner into place, checking alignment as you go. Use the cheek tabs as a guide

Tip: Liners may sit a little differently each time. As long as they cover the shell and aren’t folded or too low, they’ll work just fine.

2. Replacing the Back Liner

  • Remove the old back liner
  • Starting on one side, align the new liner with the edge of the front liner
  • To make it easier, roll up the liner a little to keep it from sticking too soon
  • Press it into place gradually, adjusting as needed to keep it smooth and correctly positioned.
